reconnecting with nature
Has technology stripped us of some of our fundamental skills? Here are a set of photographs asking that question.
Truro Cathedral
Re-interpreting a religious artefact
Inspired by the internal architecture of Truro Cathedral, the baptistery and the story of Christ in particular the Eucharist, the personal challenge was to re-interpret this with sculpture, using wood and iron representing the crucifix, manipulated wire to take the form of the crown of thorns, a carved chalice from which the blood of Christ was distributed in the form of wine, a font full of grain representing the body of Christ and 12 goblets representing the disciples of Christ.
Evoking Emotions
Drawing attention to mental health issues
Within all of us is beauty, unfortunately sometimes masked or hidden through some kind of mental illness. Depression, anxiety, guilt and societies pressure to be are to name a few reasons. I want my work to represent the physical and emotional journey of a person suffering with these kind of problems.
