Within all of us is beauty, unfortunately sometimes masked or hidden through some kind of mental illness. Depression, anxiety, guilt and societies pressure to be are to name a few reasons. I want my work to represent the physical and emotional journey of a person suffering with these kind of problems. Having applied for an MA in Art Psychotherapy, I am very interested in this area and it will hopefully link into my dissertation which will be along the lines of “creative effectiveness through neuroplasticity” which basically means how the brain can change in order to cope with problems through creative therapy.
