Sculpture/Film progress 7.11.22

Well, I don't want to give too much away but I think it's going to be a logistical nightmare.

Around 200kg of materials including some sort of super strength armature to hold it up.

My idea is to create a larger than life-size humanoid that has been reclaimed by nature, in an attempt to draw people's attention to the fact that we are letting our relationship with nature slip away from us. I am using metal and organic material together to represent this and have not quite worked out how just yet, but that is all part of the process.

I have a collection of my plaster body casts that I did in sections (front and back which you can see below)

and am trying to piece them together, so far, I've done my arse as you can see in the pics below. I have played around with body positions and am considering adding a tale to represent our old evolutionary tales of swinging about in the trees.

My film is yet to be seriously considered but will have the same issues at the heart of it. I am visiting various woodland sites for locations for part of my film and will be mixing effects in Adobe After Effects.

I am collecting organic material like ivy and some other woodland plants and keeping them in water in my poly tunnel to see if I can keep them alive for use with a future sculpture.
